• The Massachusetts Legislature passed, and the Governor signed into law, the PROTECT Act , “the most comprehensive legislation to protect undocumented immigrants in the nation.” See the Massachusetts Immigration & Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA) for information about the PROTECT Act.

In 2026, IMAB fought to

• Protect Our Privacy Rights by supporting S.2619 and H.3755, and opposing Amendment H.5366.

Reproductive Rights

Starting now and throughout the 2027 calendar year, Mass Citizens for Life and others will be holding petition drives at churches, grocery stores, etc to repeal 188, i.e., to reverse the recently passed law that eliminated the previous 24-week gestational limit. DO NOT sign the petition to repeal 188 as it severely limits women’s reproductive health care.
